How to change date and time

i've installed LINUX RED HAT and CENTOS on virtuabox
my problem is that everytime i move the virtual machine on anther pc both the 2 op doesn't keep the correct time and date and i don't know how to change it .
If i enter in the operating sistem such as with kde and change from there it doesn't keep it anyway.

I was used with VM Ware to enter to the BIOS (with F2) of the "virtual machine" and change from there
but with Virtual BOx i couldn' t find the way..

any suggestion?

Timesync is done every minute via the Guest Additions, or via a ntp service, but for example opensolaris still drifts like mad.

can you please explain me what Guest Additions are?

or when i can find them ?
