Can I move a running VM to a different X?

Post by j1mw3b »

I think I know the answer, but have to ask.
I often use NoMachine (freenx) to access my OpenSuSe from home and run WinXP as a VM under VirtualBox.
Then I might go to work, but unfortunately I forgot end the VM. So, in order to use the VM at work I have two choices that I figured out:
1. crash the VirtualBox (and running VM) in order to access it on the system console.
2. start a nxclient on the console and access the VM, then
a. either continue using it thru nxclient, or
b. end the VM and VirtualBox and restart it on the console.

So, would there be any way to just get VirtualBox to move itself and it's VMs to the console.
I can live with the way it is, but it would be nice to be able to do this.

Thanks,

Jim

You could access it via rdp, then it won't matter where the VM is.
