I have read the manual section regarding sharing and followed it to a letter.. But it does not appear to be working but I could simply be looking in the wrong place.
I have the latest virtual box installed 2.2.4
My host operating system is windows 7 64
My guest is vista 32
I installed guest additions in the guest
I created a folder on my windows 7 desktop called shareme
I went to devices/share folder under the guest.. and chose shareme as the share folder
I opened up explorer to find this shared folder but I do not see it anywhere. First of all there is no "my network places"
There is a network folder though
Under network there is my computers name Notig-pc
Under that there is a printer icon even though I do not have a printer
Nothing else.
Cannot get sharing to work

Re: Cannot get sharing to work
Just to add on to my questions here... I cannot get sharing to work with an ubuntu guest either
the command sudo mount -t vboxsf vshare C:\Users\notig\Desktop\shareme
sbin/mount.vboxsf: mounting failed with the error: No such file or directory
Do I have to give the full path like /dev/sda1/C:\....... ?
also when I try to find which partition my windows 7 is on (because it created 2 ) it is troublesome
