Is it possible to compare the differences between two virtual machines, like the Microsoft setup utility "Sysdiff.exe"..?
I am using Vbox to test different ways of installing WinXP over our network. I would like to be able to create different installations, and then compare the differences in file locations for further study.
Thanks.

Ok, I see what you're saying. I hadn't considered that. come to think of it, that would work in the hardware world a well, if I had two hard drives with the different systems - plugged into a third.
This will work for the file systems, but what about the Windows registry? Come to think of it, any database file would have to be managed specially, in such a way as to check individual records.
Thx.

You can load reg hives from other locations for that purpose, default regedit function.
