Hi,
im running VBox on a KUbuntu Jaunty host with the guest WinXP and ive KDE4.2.9.
In fullscreen-mode the box wrangles with the taskpanel for topmost and after some work, the box moves some pixel out of the topper screenborder.
Anyway i like it to see my kde-panel always in fullscreen mode, so can i adjust the screen-size of the box?
Thanks in advance.

Re: adjust screensize in fullscreen
You fail to understand what fullscreen means. You can't have your KDE panels when an application runs in full screen mode. You wouldn't want your panels to show above your video when you're watching one in fullscreen, do you? Any subs would get lost behind them. If you truly want to have your KDE panels while the VM is in full resolution, the best alternative is seamless mode. That will hide the Guest desktop, but all applications you run will be visible, along with the Host apps underneat it. You can easily switch tasks then.

Re: adjust screensize in fullscreen
Thanks a lot for your answer. I understand the sense of the fullscreen mode, but the panels is visible most time:

And after some switching between the box and the host, the box screen claims up and goes out of the top-border:

and this behavior is a bit nervy.

Re: adjust screensize in fullscreen
So you're saying that you don't want the panels when you go to full screen? Well, that makes sense. I can't see the images, they simply won't load. Have you tried changing your Window Manager settings? It's possible that special effects is the cause of this misbehaviour.

Re: adjust screensize in fullscreen
Ive added the images as attachment to my recent post.
I use the KDE 4.2.9 (KDE4.3 beta). Dont know which setting can result in this problem.
It isnt important for me whether to see the panel or not, just that box-fullscreen-window has the appropriate behavior

Re: adjust screensize in fullscreen
This isn't really much we can help you with, as I've seen similar behaviour with other applications under other circumstances. E.g. on my PC, where I use Xfce and Compiz-Fusion, when I start a presentation in OpenOffice.org Impress, I see the panels too. But when I disable Compiz-Fusion, they are gone as they should. While at a friend on mine, who plays WoW, the panels are shown when Compiz is disabled, but enabling Compiz makes them go away properly.
Really, check System > Desktop > effects, or similar. A recent post here gave the exact location for KDE.
