I loaded win 7 as a guest and it seemed to work great, until I tried to link up to my company using a vpn. The connection failed, however after that my networking was dead. I'm using the Intel Pro/1000 MT (NAT) adapter. The host is ubuntu 9.04 amd 64
The basic network information page shows VB as a public unidentified network, and the path from that to the internet has an X through it. If I troubleshoot, it says it reset the network adapter, but comes back and says that the network does not have a valid ip config. Of course, I can't release and then renew the ip using cmd. Powering off the entire laptop doesn't work either. I even tried to to load the beta 3.0 but no luck.
I even reloaded win 7, and it worked until I tried the VPN again, and then it was fubar.
Does anybody know how to reset this thing, or is it a flaw in win 7.
Thanks in advance.
