VPN from WinXP Guest

Hi There,
I just installed VBox 2.2.4 and installed a fresh copy of WinXP that I'll only be using to VPN into my office.
Now I have a second client with VBox 2.1.4 that connects with a "host interface" connection to my eth0 and with it i can perfectly establish the vpn connection. Now when I tried to setup the same kind of connection on my 2.2.4 machine, the host interface option only lets me choose vboxnet0 even tho there's eth0 and eth1 (which i wanna use) showing up in ifconfig - but there is no vboxnet0 there at all....i believe i'm missing some kind of network configuration eh?
After a manual ifconfig vboxnet0 up i now see it in ifconfig
But on start of the virtual machineis still not able to connect to the VPN as it says now Error 800. With NAT it just gets stuck on verifying username and password...
What am i missing?
