I have a legal, purchased cd of the official DSA theory test kit for car drivers.
It is not much of a grand program, just interactive practice questions for driving tests.
I am running Mandriva 2009.1.
I first tried to use this in Wine, and installation was fine.
However, it would not run and generated an error message:
"Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x850033 (thread 0009)"
I gave up with Wine, and installed Virtualbox on Mandriva, with Windows XP guest.
On Windows the DSA cd installs fine.
Now when I try to run it, I get the following message on the Windows guest:
"secure module could not be activated...." with some reference to contact the softICE site who suggest one disables softICE, but since that is not installed it can't be disabled.
Any clues how to fix this one. The only reason I am bothering with Virtualbox, and Windows, is to be able to access software that is only written for Windows so it's a nuisance if it does not work!!!
