Recover data from VDI

Post by zowki »

I have a corrupted Windows XP guest but I want to recover some important stuff from it. I can't boot the guest OS so how can I mount the VDI as a drive on Windows XP (or on Linux) to recover the data?

PS: I have a dynamically expanding vdi image

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion!

Edit: I tried it out but Linux refuses to mount my partition! Is it probably corrupted or something? Any hard disk recovery tools I could use?
