I can't run a 64-bit OS (Windows 2008) on a 64-bit Windows 7 host OS.
CPU is Intel Dual Core, T4200, no VT support with 2GB of RAM. I have the "Enable IO APIC" selected.
Help appreciated.
One more thing - tried 64-bit Windows 7 as guest in Windows 2008 as host - still no luck.
intel dual core, t4200 win7 64-bit host

With no VT support you will not be able to install 64 bit OS's in VirtualBox. Sorry!
