This shortcut worked fine until I installed Virtual Box and set my Host key to Alt. I have switched the Host key back to Right CTRL but still not luck getting my favorite Vista shortcut Alt Up to work again. Can anyone tell me if the Virtual Box manipulates the Windows registry or recommend any other way to get my beloved shortcut working again?
Thanks!!!
Brian

Have you rebooted the Windows machine since you put the host key back to the right ctrl?
If so try opening the explorer window and press alt. Go to tools / folder options and select restore defaults.
See if this will put it back for you.
Also while you are there you can alt / view / goto and see if it is still defined there.

I found the problem. I set a shortcut to answer calls in Skype as Alt Up and that is why I lost my Vista Up into parent directory shortcut!
