I have a problem installing Windows 98 SE as a guest on my Vista host machine using Virtualbox 2.2.4 . If I have Intel VT-X checked, during Windows 98 SE's installation, at the point when the guest OS goes to bootup for the first time, the guest OS locks up. If Intel VT-X is unchecked, the Windows 98 guest does not lock up on bootup. The host machine has a Core 2 duo T7250 and 4gb of memory

This is not a problem. Windows 98 SE can not run with the hardware-v switch turned on.
