Connecting to shared folders and networking in Windows 7

This is NOT a question; it is a tip for people to help solve a problem which I know to be persisitent.
I am aware that shared folders are not supported in windows 7. I have found a workaround for this. In the host OS, network share the folder you wish. Then open the guest OS and enter the ip address of the host (example: "\\192.168.1.101\") in the address bar in Computer/My computer. This will enable you to connect to those shared network folders. This also works to network to computers.

Well OK, but I must first disagree with you about not being able to use the VBox Share in a Win7 RC guest. See screenshot.
And as for a work around, this is just a standard mapping over a network. Which is a good way to do it by the way, but sometimes they are harder to setup, for some that do not understand networking.
