windows 7 install problem
windows 7 install problem
On Ubuntu 9.04, VirtualBox 2.2.4 is trying to load 64-bit winload.exe as 32-bit and it is failing. The system is 64-bit as is the Ubuntu. I have just installed OpenSolaris 64-bit on VirtualBox. Am I missing a parameter somewhere ?
Re: windows 7 install problem
Are you sure solaris (Guest) is running in 64bit mode?

Re: windows 7 install problem
Don't imagine, check it, I've seen multiple posts here about solaris running in 32bit mode while thinking it was 64.

Re: windows 7 install problem
OK - I can see that it would make more sense to download the 32 bit version of Windows 7 since I would have no need any longer for the 64 bit version as I would not run it natively and expect to use all the memory on my machine for it.
