Hello,

General fix is to add network server host name to a trusted hosts in the IE settings.

Please let me know what should be added in such case on virtual box.

I tired to add a trusted host: file://VBOXSVR
but it did not help

VBox shared folders are basic means to transfer data, no more no less, for compiling, editing and other more complex operations use a real file share system like windows file sharing or samba.

VBox provides a VirtualBoxFS which looks like a general file system to a guest
Compiling & editing works just fine with above file system.

The problem is MS added an additional layer of protection in IE which blocks it from opening chm files from network drives and filesystems.
It has nothing to do with "your so called complex operations"
I just need to know full UNC path which should be specififed in IE trusted hosts

Try locking/unlocking a file(or a foxpro app. with 10 tables and 500 record locks) and you will see what I mean, trusted zones will solve some problems but not all.
