I have a mandriva 2007 spring powerpack system and i have installed virtualbox 1.4.0. I have a WINXP machine on the virtualbox.
The linux host is formatted with journalized fs and the virtual winxp installation has a 20gb disk formatted with ntfs. The winxp disk has 9.5gb free.
After a few minutes working on the virtual machine I get the error DevATA_FILETOOBIG and the virtual machine pauses.
All I can do after that is to power off the virtual machine and restart.
Isn't the jfs supposed to support big (>10gb) vdi files?. How can I solve this issue?. Any help would be appreciated.
DevATA_FILETOOBIG on JFS and Mandriva 10.1
update
Yesterday I installed VirtualBox 1.5.0. It does the same think with the new version too. The size of the vdi file on the linux disk is approx. 16gb.
Also I have another problem. When I mount a Kingston usb stick (1gb) EVERYTHING WORKS OK. When I try to mount a external HDD (Western Digital mybook 500) the VirtualBox freezes and it resumes when I shutdown the external HDD.

16gb limit!
I think Ifound something about tjat message. It seeme that there is a file limit in mandriva 2007.1 that is at 16gb. The .vdi file of the virtual machine seems to exceed that size so I get the message about file too big.
Does anyone knows how I overcome this limitation?
