I'm sure this question has been asked over and over again, however, I am uncertain as to how to search the Net* for the answer, I am going to ask it again. My apologies.

My main operating system is Kubuntu 8.04 (AMD64).
My current version of VirtualBox is 2.2.4.
My guest system is, or will be windows Vista (32).

Is it possible to "boot" into an already established Vista partition (located on a second drive) via VirtualBox from my host OS?

I'm really not interest in running a copy of an already existing Vista OS...

From reading your manual on raw disks (http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserMa ... ml#rawdisk), it would appear that I could give Vista-VirtualBox access to a foreign partition, but not actually run the guest OS from the foreign partition?

If it is possible to do this, I would greatly appreciate a point in the correct direction. If it is not possible, does anyone have any ideas where I might obtain a software that is capable of doing this?
