Hello,

Im a little bit confused about snapshots.

Let me explain what I would like to do:

I would like a snapshot for IE6, a snapshot for IE7, and another for IE8.

I need to jump between these snapshots, for example from IE8 to IE6.

The way I understand snapshots at the moment is that I can only jump between 2 related states, i.e, the current state and the most recent snapshot (IE8).

Is it possible to jump around from snapshot to snapshot, and if so, how?

It used to be but not anymore. They are really considered more like a backup now in case you do something in a configuration change or trash the current state and need to revert instead of reloading. I have since stopped using them except as a backup and just clone off of a good VM and setup 2 or 3 to work off of. Takes a bit of space and resources but I can easily run 5 guests in my host and still have memory to do things in the host.

I'll look into cloning the good VM.

Another and probably an easier way is to use the VBox program GUI and do an export. Then you import it back in which gives you a complete mirror image of the first one. You can do this as many times as you need.
