Hi

I'm trying VB out on an XP (SP3) host. My guest OS in this test is Windows 2003 Server. I need it to be able to access the internet and an internal virtual network.

I've set up the VB as having two network adaptors (used the default). I've used NAT for the external facing adaptor and Internal for the internally facing one. with the internal one disabled, I can access my hosts internet connection but as soon as I enable the internal adaptor it crashes. What can I do now?

What does the VBox log say when the guest crashes?
VBox program / Machine Tab / Show log.

OK it's solved now. it's a bug. It was the act of reenabling a network card that did it. In the end I had to uninstall the cards from inside the guest machine, reboot it and start again. now it works. Thanks anyway.

And why is that a bug and not a configuration error?

Because it's reported far more widely than just me irrespective of configuration.
