Since recently, my Windows VM shows up with bizarre colors.

Turns out it has somehow turned to 800x600, 4 bit color max. Display settings are like this, can't change it: (no higher resolutions, and the only available color option is 4 bit)



How do I fix this?

(the VBox guest additions were already installed)

Reinstall the GA.

How? I tried Update Driver, but Windows says it can't find any better driver than the one already installed.


(edit) oh, duh, just removed the GA from the Device Manager, rebooted, and things look better again.
