I like VirtualBox. I installed 2.2.4 on some machines successfully. But one machine makes trouble:
- Upgrade vom 2.1.4 -> 2.2.4
- Successfull installation
- bridged network runs
- uninstallation
- new installation 2.2.4
- briged network shows no adapter
- uninstallation -> installation -> same problem
- installation -> repair -> same problem
- uninstallation -> clear all registry entries -> installation -> same problem
- I am local admin on windows
- nothing helps, bridged notworking not working (for me a virtual box without bridged networking is like sun without wormth)
Any idea? I banned VMWare and I hope I won't have to revert to VMWare...
Bye

Re: 2.2.4: Bridged Networking - No Adapter
Sorry, but your hint doesn't help.
My solution is reverting to 2.1.4. This version shows the network adapters and bridged networking (hostinterface) works perfectly.
I tried to upgrade from 2.1.4 to 2.2.4. Virtualbox 2.2.4 now shows the adapters, but after starting VirtualBox I get an error: VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND.
I think there are some issues with bridged networking an 2.2.4.
