Hi, I was wondering how to disable the creation of Vbox.log files for privacy reasons. I didn't see any obvious preferences to control this.

Well you can try to set the LogHistoryCount="0" in the virtualbox.xml file, but you will have a problem if you need to file a bug report if you do not have a log to send them and also if you have a problem this is the best way to see what could be wrong. That and there really isn't any data that is in there that could bite you. Shoot I have mine set to 8 so I can track problems better. Oh by the way you will need to edit this on every install of VBox as it writes over it when you upgrade.

Thanks. I'll try that.

It appears that putting a 0 there is the same as putting a 1 there. The log file is still created and presumably unsafely destroyed.
