I'm an Italian student and I'm preparing an exam consisting in a project with VirtualBox, that I must absolutely and within 23th of June.
I've two virtual machines and on both of them I've installed Linux Mint 6 Felicia.
One of the machines should work as a router, the other as one of its clients.
The router machine has one network interface active, with IP 10.0.2.15, connected to NAT.
I don't know how to put the two machines into a network.
Please tell me the procedure step by step.

Thank You very much in advance for Your very precious care

Best Regards

Internal network for client to client or Bridge mode, see the Manual about different networking modes.

I've seen the manual but as I've never used VirtualBox before nor Linux OS I didn't understand what excatly I have to do and so I want to know the exact procedure to make my two machines communicate and examples of IP addresses I must set.

I must apologize that I may have indicated a wrong version of Virtual Box in My Profile because if I click on Informazioni su VirtualBox it doesn't appear OSE but only 2.2.2 r46594.

Please help me, I'm really in panic!!!

Thank You

Best Regards

Such detailed configurations go beyond the scope of this forum, we expect basic OS knowledge of Host and Guests including tcpip.

For example: we sell swimming pools and we will help to set it up for you, but we will not teach you how to swim.
