Problem with Pidgin

Hi,Im a newbie here.

I've installed Ubuntu 8.10 Guest on a WinXP Host on VBox 2.2.4.
I've got everything running and installed VBox Additions.
Now the problem is when I log on to Pidgin,it hangs after about 30 seconds.

Anyone having the same problem?any suggestion on how to fix this problem?

BTW I've search the forum + google and cant seem to find anyone having the same problem as mine.

Nevermind,problem solved.

For the sake of documentation,I solved it by increasing the amount of RAM allocated to the Guest OS.
