Hi,

I am starting my MCSE course and wanted to use VirtualBox to install and practice on a Windows Server 2003. Well, I installed VBox, then created a new VM, installed Server 2003 and everything worked fine. By default the LAN card was set to obtain IP and DNS automatically and I was connected to the internet and could ping the host on 192.168.1.10. Then I configured my server to install Active Directory and DHCP and DNS, all the usual things. This fixed my IP address to 192.168.0.1 and DNS server to the Lan card 127.0.0.1. But now I can't access the host pc, and I also can't access the internet !! How may I fix this?

Thanks for your help...

You have connected to the local address and you need to change it to the Address scheme of the network. Make sure that you have selected Bridged mode in the VBox settings for the guest then you should be able to change the the address for the 2003 from the network manager. Since it is going to be a server I would give it a static address also.
