Not an ASUS model?
I want to install Vista on my Ubtuntu laptop. The only Vista installation I have are the ASUS recoverory disks but when I try to run them I get the error "Not an ASUS Machine. Rebooting...." Then it does it all over again. How can I still install it?

Re: Not an ASUS model?
Go buy another Vista? Haha that's funny. I'm not wasting like $200 for something I'll use once a month. I'd rather throw my laptop off the roof and then run over it with a tank.
I'll stick with Wine and Ubuntu.

Re: Not an ASUS model?
Or why not register for win7 RC and download that for free. Usable something like 6 more months I think.
Then buy a discarded copy of vista after win7 really is released.

I could do that but I don't feel like waiting for it to download. I just forget about it. There was only 1 program I wanted to install anyway.
