3d acceleration and 3d games

Post by xaber1488 »

Hi there!
I installed Win XP wth virtualbox, togehther with the guest additions and I enabled the 3d acceleration. The I installed the latest directX 9.0c and installed the last Prince of Persia, but the game cannot run because the video card doesn't satisfies the game requirements. It's obvoius that the problem is not my video card (an ATI mobility radeon HD 2600), but the virtualbox 3d acceleration.
Is there any way to run the latest windows 3d games on a Win XP installed with virtualbox (I have the 2.2.4 version)?

Thanks in advance!

VBox does not have support for DirectX yet, only OpenGL.

NO! You can not install other video drivers in the guest. It must use the VBoxvideo driver.
