22.4 Cannot install application from Shared Folder

In a Win7 Guest with VBox running in an XP/SP3 host, when I attempt to install an application using a setup file in a shared folder I receive the following message:
The path is clearly present, because I am double-clicking on the file name to initiate the installation.
If I copy the setup file to a USB stick it installs without difficulty.
Any ideas will be gratefully received.
Rod.

I am still puzzled by this. Perhaps I should add a little more detail. Access to host files other than the executables that install programs seems perfectly fine. For example, double clicking on host images causes them to open in a guest image viewer with no problems at all. In addition to the USB stick workaround mentioned above, it is quite possible to copy installation executables from the host directory to the guest file system from where they can be executed without difficulty. So you might say that there is no problem, but why does the previously shown message appear and is there anything that can be done about it?
Rod.

Try without spaces in path/file names.
VB shared folders is a basic system when nothing else is available so you can transfer files like lan drivers, for anything else its not really suited.
