creating a virtual network

Post by jiba_lucas »

Hi there people.

HOST = WINDOWS XP

I'm new in the forum and in the virtual box too, i have installed since last monday.

So, I have created 3 virtual machines, one with windows server 2003 and the other two with windows xp.

I want to make a "virtual network" between these virtual machines (not including my host). I want to control the win xp terminais using the windows server 2003 as if it was with physical machines and physyical network.

And I want the server to be an gateway, i have tried using bridge adapter with my wireless adapter (that links me with my modem/wireless router, and consequently to internet) but it doesn't send packages, just receive, i have already put them in the same ip range, but it doesn't worked.

So, how do i make this network?

Waiting for answers.

Thanks.

Look for a firewall issue.

I did it.

A friend from school helped me, using all adapters with internal network, but now I need to know how to connect the server in the internet. (my server has two ethernet adapters)

I have tried using the virtual adapter bridged with my wireless adapter (witch connects me to the internet) but it was unsucessful.

Sorry for posting the same message two times, it wasn't proposital.

Thanks and waiting for answers.

You will need to setup a second VBox adapter for NAT to be able to get to the Internet.
