Can anyone tell me why the hard drive light is on all the time when running virturalbox with windows xp? I have 1 gig of ram and I have alloted 512 megs memory for vituralbox.

You probably nee more RAM. Excessive HD activity indicates that there is a lot of disk swapping.

Thanks for the reply. That sure fits the situation. I thought I read that 512mb was enough for XP and VirtualBox....guess not.
