I know this might be a stupid question, but how can I make my graphics card give better resolution than 1024x640? I have the upgraded version of VirtualBox and have loaded the guest additions, but the problem persists. Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong.
I am running Windows XP Pro/wSP3 on the VirtualBox. 1GB Ram, 128 MEG of video memory.
My computer has Intel T6400 Dual Core processors at 2 Ghtz. 4 GB of ram.
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forums,

Check to see that auto resizing is active. It turns blue when it is on. Then you click and drag the window to what ever size you want. Or you can hit HOST + F to go full screen and back. Click on the Machine tab to see these settings on the guest.

Thanks & Thanks for the reply Perryg, but I am still not able to get a resolution higher than 1024x640. I have reloaded the guest additions numerous times and it sitll does not help. I have even uninstalled the driver altogether and did a reboot. It gives me a new driver adapter "VGASaves". I then can get higher resolutions, but it is larger than my screen size. That's kind of funny since normally higher Res. makes everything smaller. Guess I am just not computer savvy enough to figure this out. I only need 1024x768 for the program I want to run. Some people have said on another thread that you can go to xorg.conf and manually change the settings but I can't find that either or maybe that's on another system. Either way I'm stumped. Thanks again for the Welcome and the info.
