Choppy Sound in Windows XP x64

Choppy Sound in Windows XP x64
I am running Gentoo Linux 2008.0 Hardened with VirtualBox OSE 2.2.4 with PulseAudio. The 32-bit XP VM has smooth sound, but the 64-bit one is choppy. Any ideas?
