I'm running Mac OS with Virtual Box 2.2.4 and Windows 7 as the guest. I tried loading Visio Standard 2007 and the install crashes saying:
"Setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not available"
I've loaded the Guest Additions and also tried the steps spelled out in the following link.
http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibilit ... 840;tips=1
I installed Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack 7.
I installed Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0.
I installed Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package (dotnetfx.exe).
After all that, Visio still won't load. I'm not sure if it's because of Virtual Box or Windows 7 RC1.
Visio 2007 won't install to Windows 7
Re: Visio 2007 won't install to Windows 7
From where are you installing? make an ISO from the CD or copy the CD locally.

I'm mounting the CD directly through Virtual Box.

Re: Visio 2007 won't install to Windows 7
I figured out my problem. I needed to "Enable Passthrough" when mounting the CD drive. Visio 2007 is now installed and happy.
