I tried to run Dora Lost City and Barbie Detective. Dora starts OK but then the mouse is lost and I cannot click inside the game window. The game window is actually smaller than the full XP window and I get a wrong message telling me the resolution is less than 32 bit (it is 32 bit).
barbie crashes and is unable to start at all.
Please advise if some debugging output can help solve this.
Vbox is my only Windows as the dual boot does not work for some reason.
thank you all.

Re: unable to play games
Check the system specs for the games. DirectX won't work, so games that depend on it either crash or won't start at all. When a game does start, and you have installed the Guest Additions, disable Seamless Mouse, as that will cause problems.

Re: unable to play games
I disabled the mouse integration and now I have the mouse in the game window but the game does not get it. I am able to move the mouse in the window and it is displayed properly but the game does not respond to any clicks and is not aware of the mouse. the keyboard is also missing (not usable).
BTW should I reinastall the Guest addition each time I upgrade Vbox?
thank you

Re: unable to play games
I looked up both of the games you listed and they do require DirectX which is not supported in VirtualBox yet. That is why they will not work. Sorry.
