Windows guest will not access network drives

I am using Ubuntu 9.04 as the host with Windows xp SP3 as the guest. I recently did a DBan on the harddrive and reloaded Ubuntu and installed the vbox 2.2.4 We have an active directory domain here at work and previously I had been able to access the network/network drives/ etc without issue what-so-ever. We have 3 other Ubuntu boxes with Windows Vm's running at the company and none of them have any issue's with accessing anything on the network.
Since I have re-installed everything; I can log onto the network but I am unable to access any network drives. I have admin rights on the network and have been able to use any of the other machines with my login information to access everything on the network, it's only on this new load that I have been denied access to anything on the network, though I can log into the network. I have the default settings in VirtualBox except I have changed network from NAT to Bridged to see if that made any difference.
I am at a loss... any advice would be greatly appreciated.
