Windows guest additions ?

Post by lando »

Though Vista works I get a series of UAC messages saying a new hardware has been found
> install a driver for VBOX HARDDISK ATA device
> install a driver for VBOX CD-ROM ATA device
> install a driver for ATA Channel 0
> install a driver Controller IDE
Have I done errors installing Windows guest additions ? ( shared folder and Monitor card work....)

Vista is saying that it has detected new stuff!
It is asking if it can load the new stuff!
If you don't answer yes you will see this message every time you boot into Vista because it will still see new stuff.

No, the GA only provides a driver for the video adapter, shared folders functionality and timesync. It does not have other hardware drivers, because the Guest OS has them already.
