Just to add to all of the cpu utilization issues I see on this forum.
I run any guest (I have Centos 5.3 and WinXP/SP3) and when I start them my "top" shows 100% utilization. Perhaps it is lying because the system itself is responsive, but the guest OS is very sluggish. I ran top on the Centos guest and also taskmanager on the WinXP host and there is nothing there pegging the CPU.
I have 2.5gb memory so that is not a issue.
This is frustrating. I tried to go back to VMWare but it fails install for some reason.
Plus......... I have used up my WinXP activations so will have to jump thru hoops to move it anywhere else.
BTW, at home I run OpenSuSe 11.0 and at work 11.1 and the problem is on both.
Luckily at home, my VMware installs good, so I am using that now instead of VBox.
Thanks for listening,
Jim

running a 1000Hz guest kernel on VMware you will get time drifts in the guest... BTDT, not funny with a production database

is somewhere a sticky for the RHEL-Centos-fedora 1000Hz kernel issue?
