vpn network/firewall configuration

Post by shlomi_bt »

HI,
I installed virtual-box on my openSUSE 11.1. virtual box running xp.
At the settings, i set/left it as "NAT". the virtual machine gets some strange ip address like 10.0.0.1 which is different from my network...but it doesn't matter since Internet is working.

When i tried to set a vpn connection from the xp to work, the connection failed, even ping dosen't work.
i turned off the xp firewall, Linux firewall and nothing.. i don't see anything on the router log ...

Did anyone ran into situation like this and can tell me how to tackle this ?
Thanks in advance,
shlomi

Make your life easier, switch to bridged instead of NAT

hi,
Thanks, but as i wrote in the other topic, i don't have this option on the list, the list contains:
Not Attached
Nat
Host Interface
Internal network
do i need to do something special to add this option ?

Thanks.
