Hi,

I am having problems connecting to my copy of XP. I get :
Failed to open the hard disk /media/disk/VirtualBox/HardDisks/XP.vdi.

Could not open the hard disk '/media/disk/VirtualBox/HardDisks/XP.vdi'.
VMDK: error reading the magic number in '/media/disk/VirtualBox/HardDisks/XP.vdi' (VERR_EOF).
VD: error opening image file '/media/disk/VirtualBox/HardDisks/XP.vdi' (VERR_EOF).

It was running just fine. Then I had to reboot into XP. This machine dual boots Ubuntu & XP. I am trying to arrange it so as just to have VirtualBox handle XP for me but while I am learning how to use VB I thought I would hold on to the installation on my hard drive. This is complicated by having Ubuntu on one hard drive and XP on another and for lack of room on the Ubuntu drive my VDI file is on the same drive as XP. Well the copy of XP locked up and I had to shut it down. I am not sure whether this is part of whats wrong but here is the sequent of what happened.

XP locked up and was forced to reboot.

Rebooted into Ubuntu and had to access the XP hard drive to get some work off it. And I forced it open. Whether that had anything to do with VB failing I don't know.

I was able to reboot in XP. Had no problems getting in and shut it down correctly

Opened Ubuntu mounted the hard drive with XP on it and opened VB. That is when I got the error message above.

The image of XP was a saved session. I don't know if forcing open the XP hard drive had anything to do with it. I think it might not have had anything to do with it because my copy of Debian.VDI was also a saved session and it opened up flawlessly. Anyone have any idea what I screwed up?
