Windows 7 install hangs

Post by cciardi »

Running Vista 64 Host with Vbox 2.2.4.
Attempting to install Windows7 64bit.
Hangs at Starting Windows during installation. Seems to be a common issue out there.

Latest BIOS installed.
Virtualization turned on in BIOS.
I've tried all kinds of options with Base Memory and Video Memory. Still hangs in same spot.
Any ideas.

Please post your settings (Exact and all) so we can see where the problem is as well as the amount of Host memory. Also you say it hangs. Does it produce an error message or is it just a frozen screen. You can also type problem in the search area of Vista to see it it reports any problem reports and there is also the system logs in Vista under the manage tab. Right click on my computer left click on manage to find the system logs. Post the results here and we can see what the problem might be.
