Just like to say it upgrades fine on Win7 from 2.2.2, both VBox and the Guest Tools w/ Windows Guest operating system.
No issues, smooth transition. Can't report anything performance wise, though

You are not making any sense. Please, use proper grammar and punctuations. Start with an uppercase character at the start of a sentence, end with a period. It's very hard to read this. And don't use a return when you don't have to, only use it to bring some structure to your posts.

Updating is as simple as downloading the new release from VirtualBox and then installing it over the one you have since this is a maintenance release. Just make sure that you have any VM shutdown and not in a saved state and that you have closed the VBox program first.

Yeah, my first post.

I've been using VirtualBox for 6 months now and I am very satisfied with it, that made me uninstall my 2 other virtualization applications.

Just had the upgrade, so far no installation and performance issues encountered.

thanks

I think he's just asking for an option to start with the sound from a guest muted. In which cases he's asking in the wrong place in the forums.

64-bit solaris 10u7 guests still have display resizing issues - if you resize the window more than say twice, the display just doesn't repaint. in previous vbox versions you would get a gnome_segv error dialog. ctrl-alt-backspace is the only way to fix it.

solaris guest freezing bug seems to be fixed, i left my session idling for 7 hours and it was still responsive when i came back to it.

32-Bit CentOS 5.3, 4.7 and win2003 r2sp2; plus 64-bit debian5, opensolaris 2008.11 and ubuntu 9.04 updated guest additions fine. 64-bit fedora10 host updated fine too.

Wow, you actually understood what he said? Impressive. But yeah, the question is definitely in the wrong place here.

What's the feeling on 2.2.4? Safe to upgrade from 2.1.4 now? All the horrible bugs from 2.2.0 gone?
