USB devices grey out

USB devices grey out

Jaunty... Virtualbox... my usb deviced on linux host are greyed out. They are set up in settings but I can't use them. Any help would be appreciated !

Exact Guest Settings are? VBOX Version is exact what? Messages in the log files are? ...

Help. I have same problem.
All USB devices enabled in settings and shown as active
In drop down box greyed out cannot enable and says unavailable.
Any ideas welcome

Did you read the post above yours?

Have you followed the instructions here VirtualBox FAQ ?

I know it is asking too much to read the Users Manual but the post just above the one you posted is just too much.

You might also need to read this Please read the Forum Posting Guide so you know how to approach a forum. Just a suggestion though, not telling you you have to, just that you should.

And yes, he has the same problem: zero Infos in the Post instead of "doesnt work".

Read FAQ and Manual, come back if it doent work. But then with Infos. Version of Host and Guest, exact Guest Configuration, Version of VirtualBox, Error Messages are a Minimum for possible help.
