Windows XP SP3 + Vbox 2.2.2 =no network

Post by Jamik »

I tried many things past 2 months but i couldn't get one thing working no matter what i tried.

I would like to have real IP from my host OS (XP) to be available to my guest OS inside virtual box. I tried many things with bridges and all options for network available in settings of VB but no luck.

Do u have any suggestion for me? I would really like to get this working.

This topic solved my problems. I cant believe i finally make this working. Probably version 2.2.4 have some fixes for FreeBSD too. I found out on google that FreeBSD had a lot of issues with virtualbox and networking. But now i set up network adapter to Intel PRO/1000 MT desktop and bridge it to my real network card and like a blast i get correct DHCP output.

I can't believe it works now i tried a million options with 2.2.0 and 2.2.2 and earlier versions. So there must be something fixed in 2.2.4 regarding FreeBSD and network DHCP.

I am so excited! Finlay it works. Great software!
