I have recently applied Vista SP2 and I am now having issues with my web browsing(all web browsers). Specifically with web browsers and proxy server using a proxy.pac file. I have uninstalled/reinstalled VirtualBox as well. It has something to do with the Host only network adapter I believe.
- On SP1 with VirtualBox everything worked fine. I could use the proxy.pac file and authenticate to the proxy server.
- I applied Vista SP2 and then I could no longer use the proxy server with any browsers(Firefox, IE, Chrome).
- I uninstalled VirtualBox and instantly all of my browsers started working again.
- I reinstalled VirtualBox and my browsers again will not work with the proxy.
- I disable the "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" adaptor and then my browsers start working again.
So something to do with the Host-only adaptor and Vista SP2 perhaps?
Any Ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Vista SP2 - Network Adaptor issues?
I am not sure that this will help but I found that after I installed SP2 in my Vista business everything was working strange until I had rebooted Vista a few times. Then it settled down and everything started working correctly. Might be worth a try for you. I do not use the host-only adapter but I just checked and it is in fact installed and is not causing me any noticeable problems.
