Opening files from primary system

Post by mihaaa »

-hi,

I know this is a rather stupid question (and appologise 4 it in advance :D) but I can't find an answer to it --> how on earth can I access the disks/files that i have on my primary (non VM) OS (Vista), I use VM for XP. I am only able to see shared discs and the virtual partition of VM.

edit: sth else... probably part of the same problem, how do I see usb connected devices (monitor calibrator)...

Thnx, any help will do :)

miha

Well you have the Shared Folder that looks like you have setup. The other way is a network share where you setup in the host what you want to share and then map a network share in the guest. This only works if you have the network setup properly. The guest and the host must be able to see and communicate with each other and be in the same workgroup, or domain. Search google on how to make this happen there are tons of howtos that cover this.
