Hi;

I'm an absolute newbie. I've dowloaded the installation file archive "VirtualBox-2.2.2_46594_pclinuxos2007-1.i586.rpm" to my Windows XP Pro host computer. What's the best way to install this? Is WinZip efficient for unpacking and expanding it? :?:

You might want to open the VBox program and click on help and open the contents. Start by reading that and reading the various howtos and FAQs here. This will help to get you started right. Also you need to read Forum Posting Guide to know where to look for information and how to form questions.

You have downloaded a Linux build of Virtualbox. It will not install on Your Windows XP host. You need the Windows build of Virtualbox.

And, since you mentioned PCLinuxOS, you will then need to download the Live-CD of it to install in your virtual drive. The latest release of PCLinuxOC is 2009.
