Ctrl-alt-del

Post by dereko »

This is, I'm sure a really silly question but:

I have a windows XP pro machine and i've create a new VM with Windows Server 2003 on it. I installed it all fine and now i'm at the login page.

With the instructions "Press ctrl-alt-del to login" But of course when i do this it brings up the task manager on my local machine.

Is there a way for me to get around this? (i'm sure this is something really obvious but ... )

It's indeed really, really obvious. Never thought about the menu? You can insert Ctrl+Alt+Del from there. You also see the keyboard shortcut for it, which is Host+Del.

Just for your future information. You can also press (host + home) and it will bring up the menu for you when you are full screen and need to use it.
