External Hard drive - will not mount - on VirtualBox

I have Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty ) i386. And have installed Virtualbox OSE without any problems and have Windows XP running, everything is working great apart from the fact I cant Load an External Hard drive Through a USB port, the external hard drive shows on my Linux System but not Win xp. Any help would be great. Below are the details that VB shows. Because the laptop I have is a small one I can only install OS - systems by using an external CD/DVD drive through the USB port, it works very well and shows up on VirtualBox as well, but not the external hard drive.

External hard drive, connection how? eSATA, Firewire, USB? You need to give more info. What VB version, OSE, PUEL edition? VM settings concerning USB?
Really, did you take a look at the Forum Posting Guide, as you should have before posting here?

USB is not supported in the OSE version. You have to use the PUEL version.

Do'h, I keep forgetting that the VB type (OSE/PUEL) is in the user profile info of the post. So yeah, OSE won't work with USB.
