Hi,
I have installed VB 2.2.2 on Ubuntu 8.04 (host) and then i have installed gNewSense 2.2 in a virtual machine.
Copy-paste doesn't work in both directions (Ubuntu-> gNS and gNS -> Ubuntu).
Should i enable something? Whats the problem? Is it a bug?
Bye
Copy-paste doesnt work

Re: Copy-paste doesnt work
Install the Guest Additions, that will enable shared clipboard. This is for text only, no data can be copied this way.

Re: Copy-paste doesnt work
It's sort-of a pain, but if you really need to copy some files over (one at a time, so not too many) host <-> guest, just open the file in a hex editor, copy the whole hex data, and paste it in a hex editor on the other end and name it appropriately. For a small number of files, that sure beats uploading/downloading to/from the internet between the two, doesn't it?
I ended up having to do this with a few files, since my internet is slow as far as "high speed" goes, my USB devices don't get recognized in the guest OS, and I can't get the computers to see each other on the network... lol

Shared Folders to the rescue. Never thought about reading the manual?
