I am running an XP Guest on an XP Host and I can't for the life of me set up my shared folder right. On the host I have C:\Shared and C:\Shared Docs which is actually C:\Docs and Settings\All Users

I had it set up earlier but I deleted that Virtual install and now I'm lost again

I have the folders shared correctly in my Host, or at least I think I do. I just can't get them to appear in the Guest, or can't remember how. I tried Net Use in a .bat file and I tried just typing in \\HOST\Shared and \\HOST\Documents and can't get anywhere.

Shared Folders is a Guest Addition feature. You have to install the GA in the Guest. Next to that, you also need to define the Shared Folder in the VM settings. Using Explorer on the Host and share a folder there doesn't work, as that will create a normal network share.
